RumbleBuzz Has Sazón

Did you know that RumbleBuzz is not only women-owned, it’s also Hispanic-owned? We're proud to celebrate all that the Hispanic/Latinx community has contributed to our society, and how they continue to do so every day.

We support Latino & Hispanic heritage by indulging in culturally pertinent films, exploring literature authored by Hispanic writers, dining at local Hispanic-owned restaurants, vibing to the beats of Latin music artists, and much more.

Let's get to know our Co-owner, Andrea and Social Media Manager, Naydaliz un poco más

Andrea

Tell us about your background.

I was born in Quito, Ecuador - soy serrana.  I moved to New York when I was five years old. Throughout my career I was lucky enough to work with markets such as US Hispanic, Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico. I visit Ecuador as much as possible and am always craving a good sopa.

What are your favorite native dishes?

This is a tough question; Ecuadorian food is delicious. I love locro de papas, llapingachos, empanadas de morocho, colada morada, hornado con mote, caldo de gallina (criolla), pristiños con miel, humitas con café, jugo de naranjilla, dulce de higos con queso - there's too many dishes to name!

What do you love most about your culture?

I love the deep value we place on family. We’re always in each other’s business, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  Family is  at the heart of everything we do - it's a source of strength, love, and connection that enriches our lives in a profound way. Family gatherings, celebrations, and traditions are some of my most cherished moments, and they remind me of the importance of unity and tradition in our culture.

What are some of your favorite local Hispanic-owned restaurants?

Anything by Ferrell Alvarez including Rooster & the Till, Nebraska Mini Mart, etc. La Teresita is a staple that's great for big family gatherings; Antojitos for the best Colombian empanadas and Bandeja Paisas; La Lechonera for the best lechon; and Flan Factory has the best flan. Chef Lola at CW’s Gin Joint makes the best tri-fongo. I recommend driving around Armenia and Columbus -  sit at a counter and dig in.

How does being Hispanic add that sazón to RumbleBuzz?

As a Latina with a strong connection to my culture, I believe that my cultural knowledge enriches my work and fosters meaningful connections in the industry. Understanding the nuances and differences within the various Latin cultures and countries allows me to tailor our messaging and campaigns effectively, ensuring that we resonate with diverse audiences while showing respect for their unique backgrounds.

When I hear Spanish being spoken in the kitchen of a restaurant we represent, it goes beyond mere language; it signifies a shared kinship and a deep understanding of the culinary traditions that bring people together. I can authentically convey the restaurant's story, making our marketing and PR efforts more genuine and appealing to a wide range of customers.

Also, our culture's emphasis on joy, celebration, and strong sense of community brings a vibrant energy to the workplace. We infuse enthusiasm and passion into our projects, creating a positive and lively atmosphere that can be felt by both colleagues and clients.

Naydaliz

Tell us about your background.

I’m Puerto Rican, but was born and raised in Tampa,FL. I’ve lived in Austin, Texas and New York City and I’m thrilled to be back home in Tampa. I often visit Puerto Rico, mi isla has the most beautiful beaches - I love mi gente and the vibe.

What are your favorite Puerto Rican dishes?

My mom’s arroz con salchichas - hands down. Second favorite Puerto Rican dish would be arroz con gandules.

What do you love most about your culture?

The pride. I feel like no other culture has as much pride as Boricuas. From the “Mi orgullo” bumper car stickers to the PR flag hanging anywhere and everywhere, you’ll know a Puerto Rican when you see one!

We always see you with your headphones on - what Hispanic artists are you listening to?

It’s always changing, but right now I’m obsessed with Young Miko. Karol G, Omar Apollo, Kali Uchis, and Rauw Alejandro. And of course, Bad Bunny is always on the playlist. Besides being super talented, Benito sheds light on the socio-political climate and issues impacting Puerto Rico.

How do you celebrate your culture?

Celebrating my culture holds immense significance in my life, and it revolves around the importance of family. I honor my heritage through family dinners and gatherings that bring us closer together, strengthening the bonds that define our culture.

Our traditions, especially during holidays like Noche Buena, are essential. It's a time when our family comes together to share a special meal, exchange gifts, and create lasting memories.

Music plays a vital role in our cultural expression. I have an affinity for Puerto Rican talent, the music resonates with the rhythms of our culture - It's a constant reminder of our roots and the vibrant spirit that defines us. These elements form the heart and soul of who I am, and I embrace them with love and pride.

What Hispanic creators are you following on social media?

Representation matters. Seeing Hispanics succeed and share their stories on social media is empowering. It reinforces that our voices matter and our experiences are valid. Following Hispanic social media creators is not just about staying informed or entertained; it's about actively participating in the celebration and preservation of our culture while contributing to a diverse and inclusive digital community.

Some  of my favorites include:
